What is
Write & Roll?
Write & Roll is focused on teaching creative writing and promoting creativity throughout the wider Gippsland community. Our programs are built around the use of an original tabletop role-playing game (TTRPG) called Places in Time, designed as part of owner/lead facilitator Emma Livesey-Green’s PhD thesis specifically to teach creative writing conventions in a more interactive, group focused way.

Creative Writing Program
Looking for a different way to learn creative writing? The Write & Roll Creative Writing Program focuses on teaching creative writing through a uniquely designed TTRPG. A term-based program, participants work together to build a world, create protagonists, and then tell a story together all while learning key tenets of creative writing.
School-Based Workshops
Whether its for a small group or an entire class, Write & Roll is happy to partner with school to develop unique TTRPG-based workshops for students. These workshops could be focused on creative writing or tailored to meet learning outcomes of another subject (e.g. literature, history, etc.).
Holiday Short Courses
Can’t commit to a full term or looking for something to do during the school holidays? Write & Roll has a revolving schedule of One-Off Workshops and Short Courses focused on specific genres and writing styles.
